Job summary

LeoForce in Houston seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and technical direction of advanced cooling and HVAC systems for mission-critical facilities. You will drive innovation, mentor engineers, and set engineering standards across major projects.

You will collaborate with electrical, controls, and construction teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions, optimize energy efficiency, and guide project strategy.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience designing complex mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.
  • PE registration preferred.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and executives.
  • Background in EPC, design-build, consulting engineering, or integrated project delivery environments.

  • Develop engineering standards, best practices, and scalable design approaches for major projects.
  • Drive innovative solutions involving chilled water systems, air-cooled technologies, and liquid cooling.
  • Partner with electrical, controls, and construction teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
  • Optimize system performance, energy efficiency, and resiliency through design.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting technical solutions and guiding project strategy.
  • Evaluate equipment vendors and emerging technologies for best-in-class solutions.
  • Lead design reviews, commissioning strategies, and technical quality initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the technical team.
  • Support business development to expand the practice in critical infrastructure markets.

What We\'re Looking For
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
  • Extensive experience designing complex mechanical systems within mission-critical, industrial, utility, energy, advanced manufacturing, or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of cooling systems, HVAC infrastructure, redundancy strategies, and reliability-focused design.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts and managing technically challenging projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Background working within EPC, design-build, consulting engineering, or integrated project delivery environments.
