The ideal candidate has extensive aerospace design experience, strong GD&T expertise, and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams to drive program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or graduate degree) in a relevant engineering field with extensive mechanical design experience.
• Minimum years of experience as stated in the job posting, including senior design responsibilities.
• Experience with aerospace structure design and GD&T documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of aerospace structure designs and assemblies to meet requirements.
• Provide technical direction to engineers and coordinate with internal/external customers.
• Guide design and documentation efforts, including parts, assemblies and installations.
• Analyze, design and test mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or related systems.
• Serve as a GD&T subject matter expert for the organization.
• Oversee peer reviews of designs and drawings and ensure compliance with standards.
• Direct fabrication and testing activities and develop methods for testing.
• Travel up to 20% and maintain security clearance eligibility.
