Ferguson seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to lead master data, product data and AI automation initiatives across the enterprise. You will shape target architectures, mentor technical teams, and drive data governance for scalable, secure data platforms.

Role offers remote US or hybrid work in Newport News, VA, with emphasis on data quality, enrichment workflows, and AI-enabled decisioning that aligns with Ferguson’s strategic priorities and operational excellence.

Qualifications

12+ years of IT experience with data or enterprise architecture.
7+ years designing or governing enterprise Master Data Management.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
Deep expertise in master data architecture, quality, governance and integration.
Experience with major MDM platforms (Stibo, Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, Semarchy).
Experience with cloud data, analytics and AI platforms (Databricks, Azure).
Proven ability to define target-state architecture, mentor teams and deliver scalable strategies.

Responsibilities

Defines strategic architecture direction for enterprise master data and product data.
Translates complex requirements into scalable solution designs and roadmaps.
Leads architecture for product data models, hierarchies and enrichment workflows.
Shapes AI-enabled patterns to improve data quality and automate analysis.
Ensures security, compliance, scalability, performance and operability.
Provides technical leadership to architects, engineers and delivery teams.
Partners with senior leadership and vendors to align solutions with strategy.
