Job summary

Rock Falls Township High School District 301 seeks an experienced, student-centered educational leader to serve as Principal of RFHS, beginning July 1, 2027. The principal will be highly visible, foster collaboration, and drive a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.

The role emphasizes expanding college and career pathways, internships, and work-based learning, while building partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and regional partners to connect classroom

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for the Illinois Professional Educator License with the administrative endorsement required for the principalship.
• Possess a master's degree from an accredited institution
• Demonstrate successful educational leadership experience
• Have a strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, assessment, student services, school improvement, and personnel leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
• Expand college and career pathway experiences, work-based learning, and internships for all students.
• Establish partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, colleges, and regional partners.
