Job summary

Taos Day School, Bureau of Indian Education, is seeking a Principal to coordinate and supervise the education activities of the school, including planning, developing, directing and conducting BIE school programs. This position requires SCHOOL YEAR CONTRACT per Public Law 95-561 and will require contract renewal on an annual basis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 12 graduate semester hours in School Administration
• Three years of experience in school administration, teaching, counseling, or other professional education experience
• Must hold State-issued Principal or equivalent Administrator certification in the state of employment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the education activities of the school.
• Plan, develop, direct and conduct BIE school programs.
• Meet certification standards and annual renewal requirements under Public Law 95-561
