Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineer Principal (JAVA/Spring Boot) to provide technical leadership across critical software initiatives within the Retail Tech Core Debit Product organization, with bases in Dallas, Pittsburgh, or Strongsville.

The role requires deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, and modern engineering practices to design scalable systems and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing large scale, distributed systems.
• Expertise in one or more core programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, APIs, databases, and data modeling.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices.
