Publicis Sapient in Irving, TX is seeking a Principal Java Microservices Architect - AI & Agentic Platforms to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of our core distributed microservices ecosystem. You will drive hands-on development with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and cloud-native patterns, while building AI-powered agentic backends and AI orchestration layers across GCP and related ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in microservices architecture, system design, or technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java (17/21), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• TypeScript, Python for AI framework bindings, orchestration and scripting.
• Deep distributed backend microservices architecture, fault tolerance, caching, and database design.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of core distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Hands-on development in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• Design AI-powered conversational and agentic backend applications and AI orchestration layers.
• Drive cloud-native architectures and scalable backend platforms across Google Cloud and other clouds.
