Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior SAP Architect to lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, overseeing technical design, development, and integration with Fiori, UI5, and BTP services.

You will collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions, ensure ABAP standards, and guide architecture governance across Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Up to 15% travel; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of SAP experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience end-to-end in Greenfield and Brownfield S/4HANA projects with ECC to S/4HANA transformations.
• Deep knowledge of SAP modules (SD/MM/FI/CO) and strong ABAP NW 7.5 coding skills.

Job description

• Define, describe, diagram, and document high-level technological and human components for cost-effective, innovative solutions
• Promote, guide, and govern good architectural practice using proven technology and human interaction patterns
• Provide architecture mentorship
• Support full lifecycle management of the IT portfolio, including selection, usage, enhancement, and replacement of applications, infrastructure, and services
• Handle the end-to-end lifecycle of development scope for SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, and BTP objects
• Translate, design, and build development objects in collaboration with functional leads and architects
• Develop and implement clean core strategies during SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements and provide project updates
• Ensure compliance with SAP ABAP application management and integration policies, procedures, and standards
• Stay current with SAP technologies and best practices
• Develop technical designs, code, unit tests, and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with functional, integration, business, and technology vendor stakeholders
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex SAP ECC, S/4 ABAP, Fiori, and BTP application issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
• Experience independently handling end-to-end development object lifecycles in Greenfield and Brownfield SAP S/4HANA implementation projects
• Knowledge of custom code utilization and transformation from ECC to S/4HANA
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs, development, unit testing, and documentation
• Understanding of SAP SD/MM/FI/CO modules
• Strong experience in S/4HANA implementations/conversions, HANA architecture, CDS views and annotations, AMDPs, custom code remediation, and Eclipse ADT
• Expertise in SAP UI5, Fiori, Fiori Elements, and Fiori dashboards
• Experience with BTP architecture and services, side-by-side CAP extensions, RAP, SAP Cloud Foundry, SAP BAS, and GitHub
• Extensive knowledge of OData, Gateway services, and standard debugging tools/processes
• Understanding of SAP and non-SAP integrations
• Proficiency with SAP ABAP NW 7.5 syntax, coding standards, and ATC variants
• Experience with Web Services, BRF+, and AIF frameworks
• Experience with SALV reports, ALE-IDocs and proxies, conversions, exits, BADIs, BTEs, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and Workflow
• Working knowledge of OOPS and Class Builder
• Experience with upgrades (SPAU and SPDD), regression testing, and performance analysis
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex SAP ECC, S/4 ABAP, Fiori, and BTP issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong grasp of security and authorization objects
• Deep understanding of SAP integration methodologies and principles
• Up to 15% travel
• For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for roles below Principal level; this Principal-level role may qualify for U.S. sponsorship under Medtronic’s policy
