Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer for our JUDI program. If you are a software leader with experience influencing others, this might be the role for you! The Principal IT Software Engineer is responsible for designing resilient, stable, and operationally ready technology solutions. This role involves ongoing development, maintenance, support, and architecture of existing systems and platforms, along with providing thought leadership in software architecture, engineering best practices, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Design technology solutions to meet resiliency, stability, and operational readiness requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and support existing systems and platforms.
  • Lead and promote best practices in software engineering, innovative solutions, and Agile/DevOps.
  • Participate in staffing and performance reviews, providing feedback and mentorship.
  • Own technology solutions, including monitoring, alerts, and communicating system health and future plans.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure optimal system design and evolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 8 years of technical experience in application development or software implementation.
  • Continuous learning in technology trends.
  • Experience with multiple development and support methodologies.
  • Leadership skills to manage work, influence, mentor, and provide feedback.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with GCP and AWS, including Redshift.
  • Proficiency in Java full stack development.
  • Strong database skills with MongoDB, Postgres, or similar.
  • Experience with WS02 and Dynatrace.

Physical Demands
  • Travel up to 5%.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and outside core hours.
  • Physical ability to sit, handle, talk, hear, reach, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.

All employees must adhere to security responsibilities and legal requirements.

Salary range: $108,000 - $184,000 based on experience.
