Principal IT Applications Analyst - Lab Systems

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Principal IT Applications Analyst to join our IOPS IT team, serving as the principal technical liaison between lab-based business stakeholders and IT — ensuring business-critical applications are stable, supported, and continuously improving. In this role, you will deliver Tier 3 application support, lead root cause analysis, manage integrations, and drive permanent corrective actions — while collaborating with network and infrastructure teams, business owners, and cross-functional partners. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

When & where:

  • Location: Troy, New York, United States

Discover your role:

  • Deliver Tier 3 application support including root cause analysis and implementation of permanent corrective actions; diagnose network-related issues affecting application performance and availability including connectivity, name resolution, certificates, and firewall rules in partnership with network and infrastructure teams
  • Configure, test, and promote changes through controlled environments in accordance with change management and release procedures; support system integrations including diagnosis and resolution of data flow and interface failures across servers, databases, and connected systems
  • Develop and execute test documentation, maintaining traceability from requirements through objective evidence; provide audit support with clear, traceable evidence covering access controls, change history, and data integrity
  • Collaborate with business owners to translate requests into well-defined, prioritized work; communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Mentor junior analysts and maintain operational runbooks to ensure knowledge is shared and sustained across the team

This role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree
  • Principal IT Applications Analyst: 8+ years work experience
  • Staff IT Applications Analyst: 10+ years work experience
  • May consider equivalent combination of education and experience; level determined based on qualifications
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/certificates, firewalls, port requirements, and load balancing sufficient to troubleshoot application connectivity issues
  • Advanced SQL proficiency and scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages
  • Working knowledge of change control and structured release management
  • Experience in a regulated environment including GxP or 21 CFR Part 11 preferred
  • Experience with network diagnostic tooling such as Wireshark, packet captures, or traceroute preferred
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for configuration promotion and experience supporting systems across US and EU time zones a plus
