A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Principal IT Analyst to support and serve as the strategic liaison between Finance and Information Technology. This role will support enterprise financial systems and digital transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, enhancement, integration, and continuous improvement of finance applications while partnering closely with finance leadership, business process owners, IT architecture, and external vendors.

The Principal IT Finance Analyst will lead business systems initiatives across the Finance organization, driving projects related to system implementations, integrations, upgrades, acquisitions, and process optimization. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating new technologies, managing enterprise applications, and ensuring financial systems continue to support evolving business needs across a global organization. This is a highly visible role with significant interaction across Finance, IT, and executive leadership.

Serve as the primary liaison between Finance business stakeholders, Business Process Owners (BPOs), and Information Technology to support enterprise financial systems.

Partner with Finance leadership to understand evolving business requirements and translate them into scalable technology solutions.

Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize functional and technical business requirements for system enhancements and new initiatives.

Lead change management efforts that improve system usability, business processes, and overall user experience.

Manage multiple IT projects supporting Finance, including planning, requirements gathering, implementation, testing, communication, and post-deployment support.

Evaluate enterprise software solutions and emerging technologies to support Finance transformation initiatives.

Lead or participate in software evaluations, vendor assessments, RFP processes, and implementation partner selection.

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and IT development teams to design, implement, and support secure system integrations across Finance platforms.

Develop and maintain integration documentation, support processes, system architecture documentation, and operational procedures.

Monitor the health, performance, and availability of enterprise Finance applications and related cloud-based technologies.

Lead planning and execution of software upgrades, release management activities, and ongoing platform maintenance.

Review software release notes and assess business impacts while coordinating changes with Finance, Security, Architecture, and IT leadership.

Communicate planned system changes, enhancements, and potential business impacts to key stakeholders.

Manage system certificates, licensing, renewals, and other operational technology requirements.

Develop and maintain documentation supporting business processes, technical procedures, and application support frameworks.

Support mergers and acquisitions by facilitating integration of newly acquired organizations into enterprise financial systems.

Partner with business and IT teams to integrate acquired systems, eliminate redundant technologies, and standardize financial platforms across the organization.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on system reliability, automation, operational efficiency, and business process optimization.

6+ years of experience supporting enterprise Finance systems, business applications, or IT business analysis.

Demonstrated experience leading multiple small- to medium-sized technology projects from planning through implementation.

Experience supporting SaaS applications, cloud-based enterprise platforms, and system integrations.

Knowledge of enterprise integration methods, application architecture, APIs, and data exchange technologies.

Experience gathering business requirements, documenting functional specifications, and supporting software implementation projects.

Strong understanding of Finance business processes and enterprise financial applications.

Experience working within audit, governance, compliance, and internal control environments.

Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, IT, and executive leadership.

Highly motivated self-starter with strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business requirements.
