Sonata Software invites a Principal Integration Developer to lead enterprise-scale integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Anypoint Platform. You will architect, design, deploy, and support integration solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the Job

The Principal Integration Developer – OIC & serves as a senior technical leader withinthe integration & platform team, responsible for the architecture, design,development, deployment and operational support of enterprise-scale integrationsolutions. Working with both Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Anypoint Platform, this role willaccelerate business digital transformation by enabling reliable, scalable, performantconnectivity across cloud and on-premise applications, APIs, and data flows.The role will also guide the integration practice by defining standards,mentoring other engineers, and ensuring alignment with broader enterprisearchitecture and governance.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architect and leadintegration solutions – Take ownership of end-to-end integration solutionarchitecture (including OIC, , hybridcloud/on-premise), evaluate design alternatives, make technology decisions,ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security,monitoring) are met. – 20%
• Design and develophigh-complexity integrations – Build, configure, test, deploy, and supportintegrations, APIs, event-driven flows and orchestrations using OIC and ; collaborate closely with applicationowners, architects and business analysts to translate requirements into robustintegration solutions. – 50%
• Define and enforceintegration standards & best practices – Establish and maintain integrationpatterns, reusable artifacts (connectors, templates, APIs), governance model,CI/CD pipeline, monitoring/alerting and documentation standards for the integrationpractice. – 10%
• Operate and optimizeintegration platforms – Oversee runtime health of the integration ecosystems(OIC, ), monitorperformance/throughput, troubleshoot incidents, lead root-cause analysis,implement operational improvements and ensure high availability and reliabilityof integration services. – 10%
• Mentor and collaboratewith team members and stakeholders – Serve as a subject-matter expert; provideguidance, code reviews, training, and mentorship to more junior integrationdevelopers; work cross-functionally with architecture, security, DevOps, applicationteams and business stakeholders to align integration strategy with enterprisegoals. – 10%

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field(or equivalent practical experience).
• Typically 10+ years ofprofessional experience in enterprise integration development and architecture(or equivalent mix of development + architecture).
• Hands-on experiencewith both Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Anypoint Platform (or at minimum one plus strong transferable skills) inhigh-volume, enterprise deployments.
• Proven track record indesigning, building and operating complex integrations across cloud andon-premise systems (ERP, CRM, HCM, data platforms).
• Experience leading thedefinition and adoption of integration/architecture standards, reusablepatterns, API strategies, and DevOps/CI-CD for integration.
• Experience in mentoringor leading other developers, influencing across teams, and managing stakeholderrelationships.

Knowledge and skill level:

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Deep understanding ofthe integration lifecycle: API management, message queuing/messaging,event-driven architectures, data transformation, ETL/ELT, mapping,orchestration, scheduling, error handling and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with OracleIntegration Cloud (OIC): designing integrations using adapters, processautomation, orchestration flows, connectivity between cloud and on-premisesystems.
• Proficiency with Anypoint Platform: building APIs,connectors, flows, event streaming/integration patterns.
• Familiarity with cloudplatforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI, AWS), hybrid architectures,microservices, containerization, DevOps/CI-CD practices.
• Excellenttroubleshooting/diagnostic skills: analyze logs, trace integration flows,identify bottlenecks, optimize performance and reliability.
• Good communication andcollaboration abilities: articulate technical concepts to businessstakeholders, mentor peers, influence technical direction.
