Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a creative and driven cybersecurity professional to support the US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) program at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The role focuses on RMF, vulnerability management, STIGs, and coordinating with DoD partners in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience
• BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• IAM Level II Certification (CISSP, CASP, CISM, GSLC, or CCIS)
• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Requires familiarity with network concepts, user authentication, and digital signatures
• Requires understanding of DOW RMF (800-53 Rev 4 and Rev 5)
• Requires understanding of DoW policies and procedures, including FIPS 199, FIPS 200, NIST 800-53, and other applicable policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs Cybersecurity activities for a large Program; coordinates with government staff, USAF, and other agencies to assist in policy, standards, and procedures.
• Utilize resources to conduct Cybersecurity activities, and report on overall program security posture.
• Conduct network and system audits for vulnerabilities using STIGs, ACAS, and DISA SCAP to mitigate findings.
• Create, track and review POA&Ms and assist in remediation and resolution.
• Communicate threat information to Government leaders and Cybersecurity-Ops staff.
• Carries out RMF in accordance with DoW 8510 to ascertain security posture.
• Maintain the Security Authorization status and system documentation for multiple networks.
• Coordinate with OUSDI, USAF, DISA, USN and others in support of audits and inspections.
• Evaluate firewall change requests and assess organizational risk.
• Perform Security Impact Analysis based on requirements.
• Communicate alerts regarding intrusions and compromises to networks and systems.
• Assist with counter-measures or mitigating controls.
• Ensure integrity and protection of networks and applications by enforcing security policies.
• Perform periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced staff and stay current with technology.
