Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System seeks a Principal Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of its information security program. This senior role blends technical depth with leadership to define governance for security practices including Azure Cloud and Office 365.

The candidate will develop metrics to measure security maturity, oversee investigations, and mitigate insider risks while maintaining confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Information Sciences or Business Administration Preferred
• 8 years experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and environments
• 8 years experience with risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods Required
• Experience communicating network security issues to peers and management
• Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
• Experience with SIEM, IDS, EDR, network security, vulnerability management or security hardening
• Experience with Active Directory and Azure

Job description

The Principal Engineer is a senior-level position responsible for leading and overseeing the design, implementation, and management of an organization's information security program. This role typically requires a blend of deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. Will develop and contribute to implementation of Governance model for Security practice including but not limited to Azure Cloud & O365. Works with key stakeholders to understand their needs and to approve system and architectural decisions. Will develop and sustain metrics for measuring the maturity of security operations and security posture. Performs internal investigations, including data loss, security incidents or other internal matters. Exercise a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and respect for privacy when conducting. Investigations. Identify and mitigate insider risks in our infrastructure and processes and support other general insider risk and eDiscovery operations.

This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Women's and Families Hospital.
