Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks an Engineer Industrial or Principal Engineer Industrial Level 2/3 to support its IE team on-site. This role requires on-site presence and DOD Secret clearance eligibility with potential for special program access.

The chosen candidate will analyze manufacturing flows, develop scalable scheduling tools, and collaborate with IT, ERP, and data science teams to optimize shop floor performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of technical and/or engineering or data analysis experience.
• Master’s degree with 0+ years of technical and/or engineering or data analysis experience.
• MES, MRP/SAP/Oracle or related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand.
• Builds scalable models to optimize product flow with cost, schedule, and resource constraints.
• Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with executable plans.
• Incorporates interdependencies across cost centers, programs, equipment, and tools.
• Communicates requirements planning with IT, ERP, analytics, and data science teams.
• Works with developers to design UI for scheduling jobs across cost centers.
• Guides digital transformation to align with sector and enterprise strategies.
• Leads positive change using iterative and agile methodologies.
• Creates metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance.
