Job summary

Elucid, a Boston-based medical technology company, is seeking a Principal Imaging and AI Engineer to design and own classical image processing algorithms and to help productionize them. You will set technical direction for the image processing architecture, mentor engineers, and build high-performance C++ pipelines that handle large volumetric imaging data.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing classical image processing algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with CT/CTA imaging data, including segmentation and registration.
• Strong modern C++ skills and solid software design principles.
• Experience optimizing software for performance (multithreading, profiling).
• Track record of building maintainable production systems in fast-paced teams.
• Interest in image processing, ML, and scalable software systems.
• CUDA or GPU programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design classical image processing algorithms and own them from conception to production.
• Set technical direction for the image processing architecture and mentor engineers.
• Build high-performance C++ pipelines and services for processing large volumetric datasets.
• Collaborate with ML and visualization teams to ensure seamless integration into the platform.
