Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a Solution Engineer within the Cybersecurity IAM team to design, implement, and support Identity Governance and Administration solutions enterprise-wide. You will help strengthen security posture through identity lifecycle, provisioning, and RBAC, coordinating with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

The role requires collaboration in Agile or Waterfall settings, with emphasis on automation, documentation, and continuous improvement of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
7 years of relevant work experience; equivalent combination considered.
Experience implementing and supporting enterprise IGA platforms.
Experience with Saviynt, SailPoint, Entra ID, Okta, Oracle Identity Manager.
Experience in audit, regulatory compliance (SOX, NERC CIP, PCI).
Experience in cloud and on-prem environments.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, support, and enhance IAM solutions that strengthen security and compliance.
Onboard applications and expand access governance capabilities.
Develop identity lifecycle management processes, provisioning, and governance controls.
Lead RBAC, access reviews, and segregation of duties initiatives.
Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to translate requirements into IAM designs.
