Job summary

Hires Group is seeking a senior environmental engineer to lead groundwater and surface water compliance, permitting, and hydrogeologic investigations in Tennessee. You will manage teams, develop client relationships, and provide senior technical leadership across complex programmes.

The role offers business development responsibility, opportunities to shape large-scale remediation initiatives, and a path to ownership within the firm. Licensed PE and 10+ years of experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groundwater and surface water compliance and permitting projects for solid waste, industrial waste, and CCR facilities.
  • Provide senior technical oversight of hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater monitoring, assessment programmes, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring field activities, data analysis, reporting, and regulatory submissions meet applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Direct geochemical evaluations, groundwater compliance assessments, statistical analyses, and contaminant fate and transport studies.
  • Lead client, regulator, and stakeholder meetings while managing project scopes, budgets, schedules, quality, and profitability.
  • Drive business development through proposal preparation, client relationship management, and mentoring multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Provide senior technical oversight of hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater monitoring, assessment programmes, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring field activities, data analysis, reporting, and regulatory submissions meet applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
