Job summary

GHSP is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer in Holland, MI (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote). You will lead electrical hardware design across multiple programs, shaping architecture and solving complex challenges from concept through production.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architectural development, design reviews, and mentoring within a global engineering team. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
Experience in embedded hardware, electronics, or electrical systems.
Strong background in analog, digital, mixed-signal, or power electronics.

Responsibilities

Define electrical hardware architectures and guide technical decisions across programs.
Lead embedded hardware and automotive electronics designs from concept to production.
Resolve hardware issues related to performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost.
Provide technical leadership during design reviews and establish best practices.
Mentor engineers and strengthen hardware design capabilities globally.
Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
Evaluate tradeoffs and influence product roadmaps and future platforms.
Support new business opportunities and technology strategy.
