Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Principal Ground Systems Integrator to support the Space Development Agency's Tranche 3 Program Integration. The role involves overseeing the systems engineering and integration of ground segments for a constellation of satellites, with a dynamic, fast-paced schedule.

The position can be onsite in Chantilly, VA or remote from Colorado Springs, CO or Denver, CO, and requires an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline; or Master's with relevant experience.
• 9 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in development or operation of software-intensive classified systems.
• Experience with Cloud-based systems deployed in Amazon Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) such as SC2S.
• Ability to work in a very dynamic environment with numerous DoD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions with SMEs.
• Experience with Agile methods for program management or software development.

SAIC is seeking experiencedPrincipal Ground Systems Integrator to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) program. This position requires anactive Secret security clearance.

SAIC will be overseeing the Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 space vehicle constellations, hundreds of satellites accomplishing multiple mission areas, including missile warning, tracking and defense.We work with the SDA, end users, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors to ensure the architecture, requirements, implementation, integration and testing are executed successfully. Consistent with the SDA's approach, the program will be fast-paced, dynamic, highly exciting and uniquely rewarding for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Act as Program Integrator Liaison to the Ground Segment development contractor.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience developing and testing software with heavy utilization of REST and ESB, including testing tools such as SoapUI, Fortify, SSH, LoadRunner, Swagger, Parasoft, Fiddler, etc.
• Experience with space-sector technologies and protocols used for COMSEC, time sync, and communicating with antenna services
• Experience with advanced networking capabilities such as HAIPE, MPLS, SDN, and CCSDS.
• Experience related to cloud operations, DevSecOps, CI/CD, PKI, landing zones, and interfaces.
• Familiarity with Information Assurance, cybersecurity, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• Experience supporting formal program reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PMRs.
• Experience evaluating Engineering Change Proposals, requirements changes, discrepancy reports, and contractor technical deliverables.
• Experience with payload, satellite, mission system, or ground segment data products.
• Experience with space systems; ability to conduct trade studies, define interfaces, and work with the developer to mature interface requirements.
• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
