The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Director of Development for Principal Gifts within Texas Development, to identify and cultivate prospects with emphasis on gifts of $1M and above. You will work with the CDO and Senior Director to secure major gifts and manage a diverse portfolio across the College of Liberal Arts.

Responsibilities include strategy, donor engagement, and collaboration with faculty and leadership to reach campaign goals, while delivering timely reports and proposals.

Qualifications

• Five years of major gifts fundraising or related field.
• High emotional intelligence.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strategic and creative thinking.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge.

Responsabilités

• Maintain understanding of university and College of Liberal Arts priorities, vision and mission.
• Build and carry an active portfolio of 60 to 80 prospective donors.
• Engage in qualification, strategy, development, relationship building, and closing of principal gifts at $1M or more for the College of Liberal Arts.
• Consistently produce $5M - $8M per year.
• Participate in goal setting, proposal preparation, strategy development, and stewardship as required for donors in the portfolio.
• Record timely reports, letters, proposals, or gift agreements following donor contact.
• Work collaboratively with all University development officers to further the development goals of the University.
