Job summary

University of Texas at Austin's Dell Medical School seeks an Executive Director of Development, Major and Principal Gifts to lead a growing philanthropy program. The role manages a 60–80 prospect portfolio and targets $10M–$15M in annual commitments, while coordinating with executive leaders and boards.

Reporting to the SAVP/CDO, you will mentor officers, develop cases for support, and drive strategy across UT Dell Medicine; a strong track record in healthcare philanthropy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years fundraising experience including principal gifts; 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record with gifts of $1M+ and CRM capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead principal and major gift fundraising strategy with annual goals.
• Oversee portfolio of 60–80 prospects; 15–18 solicitations per year.
• Supervise and mentor gift officers; set portfolio KPIs and dashboards.
• Direct prospect research, analytics, and donor communications.
