Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Principal Geologist to provide technical leadership for mining projects, focusing on resource modeling and estimation, with QP oversight. The role prioritizes mentorship, client relations, and business growth within the Mining & Energy market sector, especially for the Reno team.

Preference for Reno, NV, but Denver, CO and Tucson, AZ are also considered. The candidate will lead projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with industry standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in geology or geological engineering.
• 15–20 years in applied geology across the mining value chain with focus on modeling and estimation.
• Professional designation such as P.G., P.Geo (Canada), or CPG (AIPG).
• Strong business and commercial judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to complex mining projects.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor staff and support business development, proposals, and client relationships.
• Represent RESPEC at industry events and conferences.
