Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Principal AI Engineer to own the technical outcome of a major AI value stream. You will work with business stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into production AI applications, writing code daily and setting engineering standards for the team.

The ideal candidate has deep GenAI experience with Python, React, AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, plus a track record of delivering AI agents, workflows, or applications to production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, including 4+ years owning GenAI production systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Python, React, GitHub Actions and Terraform in production.
• Experience delivering AI value streams; not a management role.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical outcome of a major AI value stream.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape ambiguous problems into production AI applications.
• Write code daily and set engineering standards for the team.
• Support evaluation frameworks, human-in-the-loop workflows, and AI observability.
