Job summary

GliaCell Technologies seeks a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to support a U.S. Government contract, delivering mission-critical software and systems.

This onsite role in Columbia, MD emphasizes end-to-end development across UI, API, and back-end layers with a strong DevOps focus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, rapidly iterate with stakeholders, and contribute to architecture while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • 12 years of professional experience and a BS degree, or 4 additional years of experience in place of a BS.
  • Able to work independently and in a team; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end full-stack solutions for mission-critical systems.
  • Lead feature development across multiple product teams.
  • Design intuitive UIs and data visualizations; implement workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders; iterate requirements quickly.

Job Description:

GliaCell is seeking a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems to a large government contract.

  • This high‑priority role supports the RECON team within CNO, focusing on technical solutions that deliver immediate operational impact.
  • You will operate in a highly collaborative capacity across multiple product teams to design and implement mission‑critical systems.
  • As part of a small team, you will work to establish end‑to‑end prototypes, develop requirements, and contribute to existing and new systems to improve infrastructure cognizance.
  • This will include working directly with mission stakeholders to rapidly iterate on requirements, with the goal of delivering deployable solutions and necessary scripting support quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the customers’ mission, collaborate with team members, gather user requirements, and quickly develop solutions.
  • Independently drive feature development taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle.
  • Integrate with, and contribute to, a diverse set of teams, systems, and technology stacks.
  • Design and create reliable, intuitive user interfaces and workflows.
  • Develop cutting-edge solutions for data visualizations, task automation, and workflow enhancements.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

  • Possess an active or rein‑statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Professional/Education experience: 12years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree.
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • Technology flexibility, demonstrated by experience developing across the stack (UI/UX, middleware/API, back‑end, and DevOps), and a willingness to use any necessary technology to achieve the solution.
  • Experience developing with at least one UI framework (React, Vue, Angular).
  • Experience writing scripts and services in Python.
  • RESTful web application experience using both Spring Boot and Python.
  • Familiarity with Relational Databases (Postgres, SQLite, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GitLab (CI/CD).

Desired Skills:

  • Prior CNO experience.
  • Knowledge of end‑to‑end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location: Columbia, MD (onsite full time)

Salary Range: The salary range for this full‑time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred position during the hiring process. SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE.
