Principal, Full Stack Engineering
The Role:
Fidelity is seeking a technical hands-on Principal , Full Stack Engineering to join our Enterprise Customer Contact Center team that provides Fidelity with the world class capabilities and services which connect our associates to our millions of participants, members, and customers. We are a team that is responsible for the Contact Center platform and engineering which provides our voice, email, and web chat communication channels. The platform services over 20M clients and processes more than 35M customer interactions per year while operating on a 24x7 basis. In this role, you will be:
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
8 + years hands-on experience as a software engineer, technical lead or architect
Have deep hands-on experience with building AWS native Java, Spring, Spring Boot REST APIs
Experienced with event-based architectures, e.g. Kafka (preferred), ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kinesis
Hands-on experience developing microservices and applying event-driven design
Familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc . )
Expertise with DevOps CI/CD continuous integration and continuous deployment practices, and TDD/BDD Test Driven Development / Behavior Driven Development.
Background with multiple enterprise technologies
Practical understanding of engineering design principles and patterns
Experience with Docker / Kubernetes and container-based development and deployment practices
Understanding of enterprise-scale platform architectures and non-functional requirements, such as security, performance, scalability, and resiliency
Experience with Agile software delivery methodology
Ability to trouble-shoot complex data issues across the end-to-end technology stack
Proven ability to work independently and professionally in high pressure/visibility situations within tight timeframes
Self-starter, curious, collaborative, innovative, eager to learn and guide others every day
Experience with cloud contact center technologies is a plus
