Job summary

Adobe seeks a Principal Software Engineer to join Project Graph, a new team building a node-based GUI that integrates AI models and Adobe tools. You will own core frontend components, drive engineering standards, and mentor engineers across a scalable platform used by multiple Adobe apps.

You will collaborate with product managers to deliver robust, developer-friendly tooling and high-performance web systems, while shaping the technical vision for a distributed customer-focused product.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience building, testing and operating complex web applications, focused on the frontend.
• Web components experience a must-have (Shadow DOM, Lit, Web Components).
• Experience building developer tooling a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership: Design, implement, and maintain core components of Project Graph, with a focus on web components and developer experience.
• Innovation & Impact: Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape and rapidly deliver on a technical vision to address the complex needs of the platform.
• Engineering Excellence: Champion software engineering standards, including code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Design and Operate at Scale: Lead in the architecture and operation of large-scale, globally distributed systems; ensure high availability and low latency.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Customer Focus: Work with product managers and customer-facing teams to translate user needs into robust technical solutions.
