Job Description:

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is seeking a highly skilled Principal Front-End Engineer with deep expertise in React and AWS, and strong experience in Node.js and Micro-Frontend architecture. This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to lead large-scale enterprise applications and define the architectural direction of cutting-edge digital platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering excellence and thrives in a collaborative, cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead front-end architecture and development using React and TypeScript
• Build and integrate scalable web components within a Micro-Frontend framework
• Collaborate with backend teams leveraging Node.js and AWS-based APIs
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using a wide range of AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, etc.)
• Drive code quality, performance optimization, and development best practices
• Mentor developers and collaborate across product, design, and DevOps teams

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong front-end focus
• Experience with Micro-Frontend patterns (Module Federation, Single-SPA, etc.)
• Strong backend integration skills using Node.js and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, etc.)
• Deep understanding of performance, security, and responsive UI best practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container-based deployment
• Experience in large-scale enterprise systems or consumer-facing platforms
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
