Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Software Principal Engineer to join the Infrastructure Solutions Group in Hopkinton, MA and Round Rock, TX. You will design, develop, and integrate embedded firmware for enterprise server management subsystems, delivering scalable, secure solutions.

You will translate security requirements into architecture, drive Agile execution, and lead debugging to improve firmware quality and resilience across hardware generations.

Qualifications

Firmware and embedded systems development with strong C/C++ skills.
Experience with Linux-based platforms and embedded environments.
Knowledge of hardware/software architecture and platform management tech.
Experience with Yocto, BitBake, JIRA and AI-assisted development tools.
Strong system-level debugging and security-focused development experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate embedded firmware for enterprise server systems.
Embed security across the firmware lifecycle and perform root cause analysis.
Lead firmware integration across hardware generations and drive Agile execution.
Establish best practices in secure firmware development and automated validation.
