Uncommon Schools seeks a Principal Fellow to develop into and eventually lead a high-performing school. You will co-lead with an Uncommon Director of Operations, gaining hands-on experience in instructional leadership, teacher development, and school culture.

You’ll receive structured feedback, ongoing professional development, and a clear path to a Principal role upon completion. Compensation includes substantial benefits and a commitment to equity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching with evidence of outstanding student growth.
• 1+ year coaching/leading teachers (e.g., AP, Dean, instructional leader).
• Experience teaching core subjects preferred; commitment to anti-racist school leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional leadership and family engagement across the school.
• Co-lead a school with an Uncommon Director of Operations and drive school improvement.
• Participate in monthly cross-regional professional development and Leadership cohorts.
