Job summary

Workday is hiring for an infrastructure cybersecurity engineering role supporting U.S. Federal Government contracts in the DC/MD/VA region. The team builds security tooling, deploys to public and private clouds, and collaborates with service teams to strengthen threat defenses.

Applicants must already hold a TS/SCI with CI polygraph clearance. The role may require on-site presence in the DMV area and offers flexible work arrangements with core in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux operating systems or containers.
• Experience with development/scripting/automation language.
• Knowledge of cloud security, AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of threat modeling, security policy, NIST 800-53 security standards and functional requirements.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, REST API and HTTP protocol.
• Experience with container security and encryption/authorization schemas.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate security tooling and capabilities.
• Provide security consulting to service teams and improve toolchains.
• Develop using industry standard languages and learn new skills.
