Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Engineer — Factory Quality to lead incoming/outgoing quality control and factory quality for complex hardware products. You will partner with California-based manufacturing partners and Oracle teams to identify factory quality risks, drive RCCA closure, and strengthen manufacturing controls to support successful ramps and shipments.

You will analyze yield data, OBA findings, and risk assessments, translating data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing quality, process quality, supplier quality, product quality, hardware quality, or reliability engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IQC, OQC, OBA, factory test flows, yield metrics, Pareto analysis, retest rates, containment, and corrective-action processes.
• Experience applying structured RCCA methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, or CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor factory quality performance across products and sites, including IQC, OQC, OBA, yield metrics, FPY, APY, retest rates, and test stability.
• Identify emerging risks and containment gaps from factory quality signals before ramp or shipment.
• Drive RCCA follow-up and corrective-action validation with partners and Oracle engineering.
• Ensure escapes, rework risks, test instability, and recurring failures are owned and closed.
• Review test coverage to detect known failure modes before shipment.
• Validate OBA controls for workmanship, labeling, packaging, and documentation escapes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Test teams to reduce yield gaps and improve test stability.
• Support program-readiness reviews and executive quality updates with clear data and risk assessments.
• Work on-site with Texas-based manufacturing partners to verify process controls and quality gates.
• Maintain factory quality risk registers with containment status and closure dates.
• Support OK-to-Ramp and OK-to-Ship decisions by keeping risks current and actionable.
