Job description

Principal Facilities Project Coordinator

A job at TSMC Arizona offers an opportunity to work at the most advanced semiconductor fab in the United States. TSMC Arizona’s first fab will operate its leading-edge semiconductor process technology (N4 process), starting production in the first half of 2025. The second fab will utilize its leading edge N3 and N2 process technology and be operational in 2028. The recently announced third fab will manufacture chips using 2nm or even more advanced process technology, with production starting by the end of the decade. America’s leading technology companies are ready to rely on TSMC Arizona for the next generations of chips that will power the digital future.

As a Principal Facilities Project Coordinator you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values – Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust.

  • Conduct regular facility audits to proactively identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities to drive site performance metrics (KPIs) and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the Front of House (FOH) Manager and other business leads to develop comprehensive scopes of work for specialized outsourced services.
  • Ensure robust corrective action plans are rapidly deployed, monitored, and resolved in the event of any vendor service or operational failures.
  • Ensure all critical project records—including blueprints, permits, warranties, and close-out packages—are accurately completed, organized, and transitioned to the operations team.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Proven expertise in managing, qualifying, and directing multi-disciplinary subcontractors and trades.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical and financial data clearly to executive-level leadership.
    • Self-motivated and capable of driving large-scale projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
    • Highly analytical with a proactive approach to identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing corrective strategies.
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and successfully negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to use a computer, keyboard mouse and other standard office equipment for prolonged periods of time.
