Job summary

TYG is partnering with a leading specialist consultancy to hire a Principal for its established Building Envelope practice in New York. This senior leadership role combines technical project delivery with client development and ongoing growth of the NYC practice.

The successful candidate will lead complex facade and building enclosure projects, mentor teams, and influence strategic pursuits while strengthening relationships with owners, architects and developers across the market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in building envelope consulting, design, or related field.
• Strong background in new construction and building enclosure design.
• PE, RA, or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex new construction facade and building enclosure projects.
• Provide technical leadership across facades, waterproofing, fenestration, roofing and specialty enclosure systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with major owners, architects, developers and industry partners.
• Lead proposals, presentations and strategic pursuits for new work.
• Mentor and develop technical staff across the practice.
• Support the financial performance, strategy and continued growth of the New York team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, design or a related field
• Strong background in new construction and building enclosure design
• PE, RA or equivalent professional licensure
• Experience leading complex projects and managing senior client relationships
• Strong understanding of facade and building enclosure systems
• Ability to contribute to business development and practice growth
• Previous experience mentoring and developing technical teams
