Job summary

The role includes preparing and submitting water-quality and water-use filings to EPA, ADEQ and other agencies, advising on permits, spill response, and mentoring junior engineers, with opportunities for leadership and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent education and experience.
• Six or more years of professional work experience.
• Experience with environmental compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Proficiency with relevant software applications.
• Mentorship and leadership for junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assists/Leads in water quality and water-use compliance submittals to EPA and state agencies.
• Supports or performs spill evaluation, spill response, remediation, and reporting.
• Provides technical and regulatory support to water quality compliance, permitting, and reporting.
• Supports environmental policies and ensures regulatory interpretation for facilities.
• Interacts with governmental agencies regarding permitting and rulemaking.
• Mentors junior engineers and coordinates cross-department activities.
• Evaluates environmental impacts of projects and recommends actions.
