Charles Schwab in Southlake/Austin seeks an Architect Principal to lead enterprise architecture, modernization, and cloud strategy. You will influence across domains, govern standards, and drive AI-enabled initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in enterprise architecture, a track record of large-scale modernization, and strong governance capabilities. This role requires collaboration with business and technology leaders in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience.
• Proven leadership in large-scale modernization initiatives.
• Experience with modern distributed, cloud, and AI architectures.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and set architectural direction.
• Strong governance and adherence to architecture standards.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and AI DLC delivery practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide architecture leadership across domains.
• Lead modernization initiatives from legacy to cloud-native patterns.
• Define MCP, API, and integration strategies for scale and resilience.
• Govern architecture standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering on roadmaps.
• Shape enterprise AI patterns and reference architectures.
• Foster developer tooling and CI/CD enablement.
