Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) in Tulsa, OK, is seeking an engineer to support downtown underground network and distribution projects. You will design standard and non-standard facilities, develop project designs for crews, and coordinate planned downtimes with various internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong knowledge of load-flow studies and system modeling, plus experience with AutoCAD and PI Vision for map and data maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering accredited by ABET.
• Alternatives include Master’s degree or Engineering Technology track with PE license.
• PE license is encouraged or may be required for certain levels.

Responsibilities

• Design standard and non-standard underground network facilities.
• Develop project designs for Primary Cable and Network Crews.
• Coordinate planned downtimes and outages with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Perform load-flow, fault-current studies and system modeling.
• Maintain AutoCAD maps and PI Vision maps and contribute to vaults and manholes documentation.
