Position Summary

Principal Structural Analysis Engineer – Palmdale, CA. Fully onsite with a 4/10 schedule.

Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance required for start: Yes (Secret). Travel: Yes, 10% of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform metallic and composite structural analysis using methods and documentation standards.
• Develop detailed analysis procedures, load paths, load distribution, and sizing for structures.
• Determine fittings, fasteners, joints, and splices requirements.
• Analyze acoustics and vibration characteristics of structures.
• Create structural integrity plans and perform stability, crippling, and durability analyses.
• Build and manipulate finite element models of structures.
• Conduct layout sizing and structural integrity evaluations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in STEM with a minimum of 5 years of aerospace structural analysis experience, orMS degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, orPhD degree in STEM with 1 year of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP).
• U.S. citizenship required for positions requiring clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing structural analysis on the F‑35 program.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin tools such as IMAT, IDAT, and PDM.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis and manipulation of large models.

Salary and Benefits

• Primary salary range: $114,000 – $171,000.
