The Principal Engineer - Process Reliability and Process Transfer is a senior technical leadership role responsible for driving innovation, development, and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing processes across wafer fabrication, assembly, and/or test. This role combines deep process engineering expertise with cross-functional leadership to enable Process transfer, yield and reliability matching

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development, integration, and qualification of advanced semiconductor processes.
  • Drive yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost optimization using DOE, SPC, and data analytics.
  • Enable NPI readiness and transition from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, and foundry partners.
  • Lead failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
Required Qualifications
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10-15+ years of semiconductor process development experience.
  • Strong expertise in process integration, fab or assembly processes.
  • Experience with DOE, SPC, failure analysis, and reliability methodologies.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and process control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced process technologies or foundry environments.
  • Track record of patents, publications, or innovation leadership.
  • Experience working across global manufacturing sites.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $139,370 to $201,815.
