Job summary

Activision Blizzard is seeking a Principal Engineer to oversee game systems development at the engine level. This temporary 6-month role is based in Woodland Hills with onsite work five days a week.

You will lead core system design, memory budgeting, and performance optimization, mentoring teammates along the way. The role requires deep C++ knowledge, a track record on shipped titles, and strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Job Title: Principal Engineer - Infinity Ward - Temporary Requisition ID: R027913

Job Description: Your Mission

Infinity Ward is seeking a talented and passionate Principal Engineer to oversee game systems development. The ideal candidate will have functioned as a generalist with industry experience in core engine architecture. The primary focus is at the systems and engine level, working with other members of the team (including Designers, Animators, Artists and other Engineers) to achieve phenomenal results. Please note that this role is a temporary position estimated to be 6 months. This role is based in our Woodland Hills office and follows an onsite work schedule of five days per week. Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Working in and extending an established code base.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $171,100.00 - $316,576.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
