Job summary

Exelon seeks a senior engineer to lead studies and design across generation, transmission, and distribution systems. You will provide expert technical direction, manage complex projects, and contribute to regulatory proceedings with deep engineering insight.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days per week at selected offices, with relocation options and a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• License must be issued by the state in which you are practicing.

Responsibilities

• Performs consultation and training on highly complex and unique technical areas requiring advanced engineering principles.
• Evaluates complex technical issues requiring highly specialized knowledge and recommends actions or programs.
• Leads the implementation of large specialized technical projects and/or teams to develop studies, proposals and designs while considering cost effectiveness.
• Participates in technical and industry societies and committees to enhance knowledge of new technologies or issues.
• Participates in department planning, provide budget recommendations and monitor performance for the accomplishment of results.
• Acts as an expert witness and provides expert opinions for regulatory and/or legal proceedings.
