Job summary

QQR Labs is hiring a Principal Engineer for Computer Vision & Edge AI, based in the US with relocation options. You will own the end-to-end system—from rugged field hardware to edge models and the customer platform.

We build on real-world data, with a focus on robust vision in outdoor, vehicle-mounted environments and a scalable ML/data engine. This role offers relocation or remote US work and a strong ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Shipped computer vision on real hardware in the real world.
• Camera-first perception with multi-camera stacks.
• Edge/embedded fluency: Linux on ARM, camera pipelines, model optimization.
• Cloud and data competence: Python, AWS or GCP, streaming ingestion, practical MLOps.
• Own hardware decisions and outcomes.
• Experience with vision systems outdoors or on vehicles at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware in the field and edge models end-to-end.
• Develop rugged capture hardware and on-device ML.
• Build data platform and data engine for high-volume ingestion and search.
• Manage fleet tooling: provisioning, OTA updates, health monitoring.
