Job summary

QQR Labs seeks a Principal Engineer, Computer Vision & Edge AI to own hardware, edge models, and the customer platform. Flexible locations include Fort Worth, Cincinnati, or Austin, TX, or remote within the US, with full relocation and visa sponsorship.

You will build rugged capture hardware, on-device ML at highway speeds, and a scalable data platform for high-volume ingestion, search, and insights, reporting to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping computer vision on real hardware outdoors
• Proficiency with edge AI on ARM/Linux
• Experience with Python and cloud services (AWS/GCP)

Responsibilities

• Own hardware in the field from prototype to production
• Develop on-device ML for detection, classification, OCR
• Build and maintain the data platform for high-volume ingestion and search
• Implement auto-labeling and retraining pipelines
• Enable fleet tooling and OTA updates for hardware deployed remotely
