Job summary

Raft is seeking engineers to build a data-focused product using open source tools like Kafka, Trino, DuckDB, and Superset. You will contribute to backend and frontend development to enable users to tell a data story through the product.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience with RESTful APIs, strong design skills, and hands-on experience with cloud-native deployments and distributed systems. Onsite roles available in Tampa, FL and Tacoma, WA, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building RESTful APIs in Go, Java, Python, or Scala.
• Deep software design and architecture experience.
• Experience with large-scale relational and non-relational databases.
• Cloud-native deployment and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features for data-focused product using open source stacks.
• Work on backend and frontend to enable data storytelling in the product.
• Own complex projects and end-to-end lifecycles.
