Chobani is growing—and we’re investing in what’s next. We’re hiring a Principal Engineer, Capital Projects to lead complex, high‑impact projects that shape the future of our manufacturing network.

Chobani’s Global Engineering and Project Management team drives capital planning, design, and commissioning from concept to completion, ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule. The ideal leader combines deep manufacturing know‑how with strong cross‑functional leadership.

Qualifications

15+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and Process Technologies.
Ten years developing engineering strategy to support manufacturing environments.
7+ years managerial and leadership experience over multiple engineering functions.
7+ years of project management experience including project timeliness, budgets, risk analysis.
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial, or process preferred).
Project/Program Management training and/or certification (PMP) is preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, familiarity with common CAD software (SolidWorks desired).
Ability to travel is required; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships and interact with all levels; strong people management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Capital Critical Planning initiatives and develop, document, and track capital projects aligned with company goals.
Coordinate work between team, subcontractors, and clients.
Ensure work is produced in adherence to requirements.
Identify obsolete or critical risk equipment and plan mitigation.
Collaborate with maintenance to develop solutions and consider impacts on maintenance, EH&S, and production.
Work with Plant Teams to identify and implement manufacturing process improvements.
Set a positive leadership example and promote positive employee relations.
Recruit, develop, and retain staff; review performance and assign work.
Communicate project status and provide regular reviews to senior management.
Organize engineering support to construction and commissioning with site visits.
