Job summary

Motional is seeking a Principal Engineer to own autonomous vehicle performance reporting. You will translate robotics data into strategic narratives for executive stakeholders, lead the SPR, and architect reporting ecosystems across teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive AI-enabled reporting pipelines, and connect AV performance databases to presentation tools, enabling automated weekly decks. Hybrid role with options for remote work and in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years bridging BI, data science and reporting in a complex tech field.
• Master’s degree or MBA with strong technical foundation.
• Executive presence with experience in high-visibility reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly Software Performance Review (SPR) and executive reporting.
• Architect data storytelling framework across autonomy, infrastructure and analytics teams.
• Mentor junior engineers in data visualization and reporting.
• Develop automated reporting pipelines using AI workflows and MCP.
• Connect AV performance databases to presentation tools for deck generation.
