Job summary

CSC Generation is seeking a Principal Engineer, Application Development to own architecture and engineering standards across our e-commerce fulfillment platform powering five outdoor brands. You will lead a small team, drive AI-powered innovations, and improve velocity and reliability while delivering production-grade software.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, and own end-to-end delivery with a strong focus on scalability and maintainability across the system.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in ecommerce fulfillment.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of software architecture and enterprise-scale design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.
• Cloud experience with AWS or GCP.
• Proven track record leading software teams and delivering production-grade software.
• Excellent English communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, quality, and engineering standards across the e-commerce platform.
• Build and maintain fulfillment and order management systems at scale.
• Direct a small team of developers and provide clear technical direction.
• Surface clean API documentation, observability, and alerts for dependability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations for timely delivery.
• Create agentic quality gates to enable rapid iteration with safety nets.
• Mentor engineers across levels and promote best practices.
