You will refine the communications ecosystem, create practical standards, and support large-scale events and campaigns while upholding the Northrop Grumman brand. Strong data-driven approach is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of communications experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and high integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging messages.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an enterprise integration driver, partnering with sectors on cross-enterprise initiatives.
  • Identify inconsistent channels, tools, and processes and draft practical standards.
  • Design and maintain frameworks and templates for consistent employee communications.
  • Refine the Communications Ecosystem and core channels with metrics and feedback.
  • Support high-level events and tactical communications, including rollout of key themes.
  • Ensure plans align with Northrop Grumman's strategic vision and brand.

This role will drive integration efforts across our Employee Communications – and broader enterprise teams. In this role, you will partner closely with sector and functional teams to advance cross-enterprise initiatives, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and optimize our internal communications channels.This position reports to the Employee Communications manager for Northrop Grumman’s Integration and Channel Strategy team.In this job, you’ll:Serve as an enterprise integration driver, partnering with sectors and functional teams on cross-enterprise initiatives, serving as a communications advisor and helping connect enterprise priorities to business needs.Identify areas where channels, tools, and processes are used inconsistently and develop practical recommendations, standards and templates that drive organizational effectiveness and create alignment.Design and maintain frameworks, messaging and resources that make it easier for communicators to plan, organize and share content in a consistent, employee-centric way.Help refine our overall Communications Ecosystem – especially how we use core channels – and use metrics and feedback to recommend improvements.Support high-level, cross-enterprise events, assisting with tactical communications and strategic rollout of key themes and storytelling.Ensure all communications plans and tactics are consistent with the company’s strategic vision and reflect the Northrop Grumman brand.Work closely with Communications and functional partners across the sector and corporation to align messages, share best practices and support integrated communications efforts.Serve as a channel lead back-up, helping with syndication, all-employee message sends, and updating/maintaining our intranet and digital signage.You’ll be a great fit if you:Are a creative, self-motivated and collaborative communications strategist who thrives in fast-paced environments, can juggle multiple projects, reprioritize quickly and consistently meet deadlines.Focus on prioritization and organization with sharp, scrutinizing attention to detail.Are positive, poised and approachable, able to work independently, in partnership with others and with senior leaders.Appreciate data and are disciplined about using analytics to measure success, inform recommendations and continuously improve communications plans.Enjoy translating complex and technical topics into easily understandable and interesting stories.Have event planning and/or project management experience supporting internal engagements and initiatives.Embrace owning and optimizing communications channels — including intranet pages, newsletters and digital signage — and orchestrating connected stories across these channels to create a cohesive experience for employees.Excel at brainstorming, working alongside a creative team and thinking outside the box to develop innovative approaches — while also knowing when to apply proven, traditional communications tactics to achieve business goals.Bring a deep passion for our national defense mission and for engaging employees in a shared sense of purpose.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from accredited university with five (5) plus years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices or three (3) plus years of communications experience with Master-level degree from accredited university. An additional four years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).Possess a high level of integrity when handling sensitive and confidential informationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.Affinity for developing solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.Strong business presence with a history of cultivating trusting relationships with multiple teams and leaders.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and composure.Possess a high level of interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude.Experience leveraging data to create and execute communications strategies, plans, programs and events.Understanding of Associated Press writing style.Aerospace and Defense experience.Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
