Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking a Principal Embedded Systems Engineer to lead embedded firmware and hardware development for high-assurance weapon carriage, release, and safety applications. You will drive architecture, requirements flow, and system verification within Embedded Solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

The role demands deep expertise in embedded electronics, RTOS, and safety standards (DO-178C, MIL-STD-882E). U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering (Master’s preferred).
12+ years’ experience in embedded systems for safety-critical military/aerospace applications.
Expert in embedded architecture, requirements flowdown, risk management.
Hands-on with C/C++, Python, RTOS, bare-metal, and hardware interfaces.
Proven V&V, requirements traceability, and formal reviews leadership.
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead embedded firmware/software design for weapon system integration (safety/release).
Architect digital/analog safety electronics and integrate control firmware.
Drive requirements analysis, system architecture, interfaces, and testing.
Lead or support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and risk assessments.
Mentor engineers; contribute to best practices and roadmaps.
