Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test software for embedded undersea payloads in Annapolis, MD. You will work in an agile team using C++, Python, and Linux, contributing to cross-functional reviews and end-to-end system validation.

The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain TS/SCI with poly; relocation assistance may be available, with travel up to 10% and on-site collaboration in Annapolis.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in a STEM field with 5+ years in embedded real-time systems (or 3+ years with a masters; 0 with a PhD).
• Experience in C++ and Python.
• Embedded software development experience.
• Experience in Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Demonstrated experience as a technical lead.
• US Citizen able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with poly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for embedded undersea payloads.
• Work on an agile development team using C++, Linux, and Python.
• Conduct reviews of software designs and related technical documents.
• Participate in cross-functional scrum teams and design reviews.
• Prioritize tasks and coordinate with Technical Leads to meet system requirements.
